E.O.T.C. Recount
On the second day of E.O.T.C. at Castor Bay Owen instructed how to use a kayak properly to Room 7 and 9 who were in the Tiritiri group. I felt so excited I was about to burst and grab a kayak and paddle away. It was fun because you could kayak anywhere you like.
We were off to kayak in the sea! I heard kayaks splashing, I saw a blank sea top with nothing but a lot of kayaks. I smelled the stinky rotten sea salt water. I felt my extremely hard paddle and kayak. I thought I could do anything I could so I would have more fun. I tasted the yucky sea water. We were doing a circle around Francesca who was in the middle. We gathered around like a bunch of fish together. I felt like the happiest person in the world. Next we played a game where we had we had to follow Francesca. Next we played a game which Owen said something and then we went away from each other, when he said the same thing we had to grab onto kayaks then we said “ Roar ”. Next we played Netball in the water and the team with the yellow kayaks won. Next we joined with people with other kayaks and we had to hold the kayaks to make a big raft of people. I did heads, shoulders, knees and toes standing up on the kayak and I had to move to a another kayak going across kayaks. After that it was my worst nightmare, the session was over, plus the day was over. So we paddled our kayaks to the shore and had a shower. Then we thanked the Bigfoot people for the activities they helped us with. Then the bus left for Pinehill School.
